Went to that thrift store that I used to go to all the time. I had a voucher for $7.92 and used it. That means I still have $2.20 on my giftcard that I need to use, plus 11 cents in store voucher left. No picture this time guys, sorry. I need to get to notifications and I have a lot of other stuff to do around the house. Eva Moves The Furniture by Margot Livesey $1.50 The House At Riverton by Kate Morton 0.75 The Crimes of Dr Watson : An Interactive Sherlock Holmes Mystery by (look up the book to find the author) $2.00 Scandalmonger by William Safire $2.50 Scandalmonger is about Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton. I think I might just enjoy this one. What have you read lately?

I am reading Where are the children by Mary Higgins Clark and Insect by Claire Castillon. I like Where are children, but I didn't get that far yet. Insect is a short story collection. The original version is French, but I am reading a Danish translation.

There are so many books by Mary Higgins Clark that the thrift sore I go to carries. Some by the daughter? I think it's the daughter that also writes. I don't like short story collections as a rule. Some are okay, but I find most are lacking.

You have me hooked on the youtube stories. I've not listened to any today though. I'm going to try to finish reading the book I have now and sort of find time to listen to the stories on youtube inbetween. I need to write out that other story I was telling you about.. The one I thought of because of my aunt. I still haven't done that. I was going to download Audition as well and play around with it.

@Courage7 I've heard of Adobe Creative Cliud I think. I know he uses Audition as well as he talked about that in a video once. I'm listening to his stalker video right now. I may have to listen to this one again some other time, it's hard to differentiate between the letter he is reading and the rest of the story.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes that would be good when you get time to do so Amber. But oh yes you must read as well as listening. I am glad it inspired you. I saw DS saying this is what he uses~ Adobe Creative Cloud to record, edit video and design graphics. FL Studio to do Sound Design and Compose the songs in the videos.

I have been listening to the Hobbit on Audible read by a very interesting English voice. I should look to see who it is, and if he is famous. I am still reading Daughters of the Lake which I really need to finish and move on to something else. I am finding the book to be mediocre so I never feel like reading it that much. Scandalmonger does sound interesting.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I am not sure how many people would read 50 free books. I think 10-20 would be plenty. Where would you find your audio talent? They wouldn't work for free. It's an interesting idea. I am getting this audible book free,a nd I have one more I can get.

@snowy22315 Oh I know they wouldn't work for free and then there's the finding books and getting permission to have them read etc etc. I say 50 free books as a guideline. There might be housewives that listen to the books on the way to the grocery store when their kids aren't in the car, or on the way to pick them up etc. They might listen as they do the housework, or while they are on the treadmill at the gym. I know I am an avid reader and an audiobook I could probably finish it in one day if I was so inclined.

I can't afford audible. I mean, I read a lot and it just isn't cost effective for me. If I had the means and the talent, i would make my own audiobook service. I'd charge $15.00 a month for 50 free audiobooks a month. If you don't read 50, it doesn't roll over, but you get $5.00 off your bill for your Birthday month + $2.50 off for every new subscriber you bring in. Do you think a service like that would thrive? Oh and I love when the voice is interesting, especially when it's a English accent. I like the Irish and Scottish Accents as well but Australian would be next to English in regards to listening to a person read.

This thrift shop was hiring but I didn't put in an application. I think they found someone anyway as when I went in yesterday, the sign that they were hiring was gone.

@responsiveme I am not sure if I ever read that one. I know there was one that I had to quit reading. I can't remember how old I was, but I was young and the book really frightened me.

I have heard of her. I may even have a book or two of hers. I've been getting all of these books for free as I use vouchers and gift cards I receive. Trying to make myself a mini library but I need to do some cleaning and straightening before I can really call it that. What's The Vineyard about?

Yes, and I only spent like ten minutes in the place. I always check one or two sections (forgot to check one today) for new books by a certain author. I've found several Simone St. James books there but I haven't had any luck the past few visits. I need to finish "A Parchment Of Leaves." I think I have a Lisa Wingate book here, not sure. How did you like Before We Were Yours

I have not read very much at all this month. I think I am going to have to just set aside one hour of the day dedicated to nothing but reading. Maybe I'll do that when I first wake up each morning.
