I used to suffer quite badly in cars and coaches and ships but not on trains or when driving, for some reason. I used to routinely take Quells (a motion sickness medication), which helped most of the time, though I sometimes felt a little queasy. I also sat at the front of the car or coach, when possible, and looked straight ahead rather than to the sides. Having some kind of mint or boiled sweet to suck also seemed to help. Ginger is also supposed to be very helpful. A piece of fresh ginger tucked into the corner of the mouth and chewed or sucked occasionally is supposed to be very good. I have never had a chance to try it, though, because I learned about it after I inexplicably was 'cured'. I don't know why or how, but it just disappeared!

Fortunately I don't have this problem. I have a friend who always carries with her a paper bag or something whenever she travels.
