When you're young and insecure, it can be hard to laugh at yourself. So maybe because I'm older and more comfortable in my skin that I'm able to laugh at myself. I'm a very tiny person, I was always the smallest kid in class, and in a room full of adults, I'm always the smallest still. Tonight my husband asked me what size my dish gloves were, I replied "Extra small, cuz I'm extra small" and then we both laughed. It's kind of nice being able to find humor in myself instead of just insecurity
Is it easy for you to laugh at yourself ?

Sometimes I can and then sometimes I am really anxious. i did learn long ago that what we consider our biggest flaw might just be the loveliest thing about us.

I do all the time but I am surprised how thin skinned some are.
We need to let go and accept ourselves and others who we really are.
We get carried away by looks, physical stature but inside us resides one who is connected with our creator - siva

Oh that's awesome. Thank you for sharing. I think you're right. As we mature - little things do not matter to us so much thank goodness.
I'm your opposite. I'm big. And, finally I am starting to learn to not feel self conscious about …. eating in public, taking up space, etc
And I recently posted a "bad" photo of myself online, just because I felt it was hilarious. I'll see if I can put it here

We should all be able to laugh at ourselves from time to time. Makes a change from everyone else laughing at us!
