Got my A1c Results today....

And they were not where I want them for sure. Not as high as I expected after how I behaved in December, but still hoped I could keep it closer to where it was by how I was doing this month.
My A1c is now up to 6.7%
Definitely not my worst, as I was diagnosed at over 11%. However, my goal is to get it under 6%.
My doctor wants me back in 3 months rather than the 6 months that he was thinking.
So, not the best news I was hoping for....but not the worst either....just got to keep eating low carb and working out.

You did have a couple of cheat days in there before the test too. So I would say you are doing good.

@MommyOfEli2013 Just move on and try to do better. Beating yourself up will do no good. I think you did great.

Yes that is true....I had a full cheat day and one where I had one higher carb meal, not bad like I did in December though!

That's not too bad, They are usually happy if we are under 7, least my doctor and nutritionist. Good luck when you go back! 7.1 isn't too bad for being your worst, definitely not compared to my 11.7 when I was diagnosed.

@andriaperry Opposite of me, lol. But guess then it depends how much the "bad" effects your numbers.

Thats a little better than mine! I think mine is around 6.9 and was also around 11 when i was a teenager because i didnt take care of myself and kept getting sick and had to go to the hospital a few times but as an adult i take it seriously. But way to go girl! Keep it up!

well ours are much better than where we started at least! Sorry you kept getting sick and had to go to the hospital, that sounds scary! That's good that you take it seriously now though, same here. And thank you :) I had got it down to 6.1 but I just allowed myself to have carbs most of December and that messed it up!

Keeping an A1c level at a decent level is really hard. I need to find a decent Diabetic Doctor again. The best one I had retired, and then one I tried to see was only worried about my Blood Pressure, and no help with my Diabetes so I am trying to find a good one again. Best of Luck getting yours down.

Yes it is, I have struggled for years. I hope you can find a good doctor soon, would be tough to have to try and find a new one. Best of luck with that!

Thank you, doing better this month...but December messed me up a bit. I'm sure by next time I can get it much better.

Have a positive of life despite your current challenges. I have to shed some pounds myself to stay away from diabetes.

@MommyOfEli2013 Let me give you an example. What I have read in some websites is that watching a comedy show, reading materials that will brighten your day assists your illness to get under control.

@Deepizzaguy I agree they brighten the day, but I don't know about getting illnesses under control. But then I am a sceptic about a lot lol
