I Collect Names (Poem)

I collect names The way some collect trinkets, Written in the pages Of novels and poetry Lying somewhere between Truth and fiction. I gobble truths and fiction In storylines That are meant to Inspire And make you Feel Perhaps in ways You never have Before. I breathe life Into the page With fingers Across Keyboards, And notes in notebooks Of all shapes And sizes. I give birth to ideas And feel the pain They feel I hurt with them And celebrate With them.
