Crimes of Chocolate

The dining hall is open to the public each night here at the shelter. Most nights I volunteer to serve the guests because it is hardest at mealtimes to be without my other half. Tonight was quite busy and at dessert time chaos ensued because everyone wanted chocolate cake. You wouldn't think that people would be so ungrateful for a free meal, but some of the residents started going into the kitchen to the cooler because I had paused dessert service to serve dinner to the people just coming in. It's been nearly two weeks since I've had a panic attack and I wasn't expecting it at all. Sometimes I forget how hard it can be dealing with my mental illness, but I embrace it because it is part of who I am. And at the end of the day I can't change them either. I hope they find their chocolate dream, and I hope that they are happier tomorrow. Sweet dreams everyone, I'm going to eat my beef stew and put on some Netflix. It's been quite a long day.

Beef stew sounds good. Chocolate has some chemicals in it that make people happier and more motivated.

Dark chocolate does have a lot of good things in it. But certainly nothing great enough for yelling and theiving of cake.

I would kill for a chocolate right about now!
