The method of connecting your computer to the Internet through the use of a cable is the Ethernet which is the oldest form of connecting the internet to a computer.
Later on, technology advancement brought a new method known as Wi-Fi. This does not require you to connect any cable to your computer or laptop before being on the internet.
So which of these methods do you use to connect to the internet and why do you like it?

Hi there, I am using both. My smartphone usually connects to the wifi at home, can't connect a cable anyway ;-)
The laptop is usually connected to the ethernet via cable since it is faster and more stable. Do if I want to upload photos or download videos, it would take a LOT longer via wifi and our wifi connection sometimes crashes.

I stopped using internet few years ago when my brother installed a wifi for the first time. But I used to have ethernet, just didn't use them anymore.

I have Ethernet and wi-fi. It's a fiber optics connection. But my old computer had a modem inside of it and I had DSL for awhile until I got this computer.
