Polar Vortex.

Whew.
I was down. Ate a plateful of seafood marinara for Sunday supper and whoosh, the following morning, my feet had become a tad too heavy for me to lift. There must be something in the perfect and delightful recipe that does not quite jibe with my body system
As I lifted my left leg to a stool, trying to soothe the ache in my feet, I heard the knee bones crack. Oops, I said, what was that! I stood up to check if my knee was damaged. No. I could stand and I could walk, inch by inch. If there was a fracture, certainly, the pain would be searing. But nada. None of that.
So, I went about my errands but Wednesday morning, I was reduced to walking baby steps. Hu hu.
After accomplishing my tasks, I finally checked on my knee, and it was swollen. Got to ER and two X-rays rendered a clean tab. All I need is cold compress.
Feeling sorry for my self, I was chatting with a student who now resides in Canada. She was telling me how punishing the Polar Vortex cold is. I checked on the ice on my knee, and started thinking how many people are perishing from the killer cold.
So I stopped the self-pity and prayed instead for those who would not make it through the night.
Keep safe, people.

@eileenleyva I try my best. My family has quit eating pork for two years now. Even my 14 year old boy doesn't like it anymore.

Why, that is so nice, thank you.
Yes, necessary extra care is being taken. Gosh, I wouldn't want ever to be handicapped. Hu hu.

@eileenleyva Nah! It's difficult to be invalid. You do not only suffer physical inability but you will be emotionally devastated as well.

@ZedSmart Doing my best not to get to that course. Gosh, that would be less of a life for someone like me who loves driving and the outdoors.

Thanks for the concern, Jeigh Elle. Nope, no previous accident. It was the probably the effect of all the food I te from the holidays, and that seafood marinara was the ultimate reminder that I must watch my intake. Gluttony perhaps is the problem.
Thanks, again.
