Mystery Box seems to be getting popular in this country for online shoppers. What's a mystery box you may ask. You pay a fix amount of money without knowing what's inside the box. It's not a subscription here. You can choose in different price range from less than $10 I think to about $25. If you get lucky, you get really nice ones inside the box and it's normally more than what you paid for.
Two weeks ago, I paid 999 Pesos for a makeup mystery box of a local makeup brand Ever Bilena x Kris Aquino (a celebrity). It says that it's worth 1,200+. I've been meaning to try this makeup because I was intrigued by the collaboration. She didn't just let the company used her name, she was consulted with almost everything including the packaging.
I wasn't disappointed when the box arrived and there was even a vanity mirror. Not including the cost of the vanity mirror which I had no idea how much, I was able to save more than 200 Pesos.
It was exciting opening the box not knowing what you'll exactly get. Would you like to get a mystery box?

Yeah, it hasn't reached yo there yet or probably it won't work there that's why the shops there haven't offered that marketing scheme.

Just not your kind of thing. The one that I got which is a collaboration with a celebrity has limited product line. So I somehow know what I was getting. That's why I specifically chose that.
But other mystery box category has only electronics, cosmetics, household items which are quite vague so you really don't know what you're getting.

@shaggin Yep that's why I didn't mind getting this one. I've attached the photo of what's inside the box. One powder foundation which is a tad bit darker than my skin tone now so I could use it in the summer season maybe. One eyebrow product which I like a lot. One lip liner, one matte liquid lipstick, and one matte lip pencil, oh and a vanity mirror in heart and pink color.

@JudyEv Yep it's true and I've been meaning to buy all the product line from this brand collaboration. So when I saw this mystery box being offered, I grabbed it immediately.

It's fun but I'm very choosy with the mystery box category. It's because in some mystery box like the ones that are generic with no brands, people feel that they get scammed.

They've been offering it for quite some time. IN fact there are a lot of youtube videos of mystery box from Lazada already. But I'm picky with the mystery box category as I don't want to be scammed.

Hm. That sounds interesting. I would not mind getting a mystery box--if I did not like what was inside I could always try to sell it on eBay.

That's true. That's why I specifically chose this mystery box because I've been meaning to try the Kris x EverBilena produces and they only have limited product lines so I knew what I would get.

Peso is our currency and I don't expect you to be familiar with that celebrity as she is a local celebrity but if you have seen the movie Crazy Rich Asians, you will see a cameo of her there plus she's the daughter of our know hero and also the daughter of the first woman president of this country.

@DianneN She appeared in the movie only for a few minutes as a cameo. But behind the scenes, all the Hollywood actors said, that Kris Aquino is the real crazy rich asian. Which is actually true. She was Princess Intan in the movie.

No I wouldn't buy one. It would probably be worth it but not with items that I want. So not worth it to me. You lucked out!

I think mystery box is a little surprise. You don't know what's exactly in the box. 
I haven't ordered any mystery box yet, but I think it is a good idea, so maybe I'll try it.

Yes you won't know until you open it but they have categories like electronics, household, etc. But this particular box I chose was made by a cosmetic brand that collaborated with a celebrity. So I know that it's going to be that but I don't know exactly what product lines they were or what shades or tones I'm going to get.

i saw the box in the comments. how about the vanity mirror?
i'm surprised, too, that she partnered with ever bilena, but i'm glad that she's very involved in it. seems some celebrities are really particular about what they endorse.

Wow, you are so lucky. I just hope that every mystery box is always equal or more than what you paid for so that customers will always come back and sellers will be happy too. I never purchased something like that yet but it once came to my mind too.

It specifically stated Kris X everbilena mystery box. If it was just everbilena mystery box or just Lazada mystery box, I wouldn't dare. They usually give out cheap Chinese products.
