I've been through Oregon and it is beautiful country. The scenery is gorgeous. I would do some serious research of course. It will give you a wonderful idea of what areas to visit. If you enjoy the wilderness and wild animals then you will love Oregon and the forests. I went through in the fall/early winter on our way to Montana and of course there was snow. I'm not a big fan of snow so I wasn't too impressed, although it was beautiful. (I don't like being cold and I don't ski or ice skate...I'm not graceful) I live in the Central part of California (Lake Nacimiento) in the back woods and love it there. We have all kinds of wild life and trees and various kinds of growth around the area. We have deer that visit us for hand outs during the day and raccoons that come by at night for our left overs. Oregon has much the same animal life plus others. They also have skunks, possums, squirrels and other wild life (which we have here). If you plan to take pictures take plenty of film or disks as you will be shooting pictures like crazy! I know even living so close to a lake if I had a camera I would constantly be taking pictures. Like a couple of months ago we had a pair of huge swans feeding on the lake. One of them spread it's wings and it was an incredible picture!!! I wished with all my heart I had a camera about then... I honestly think you would thoroughly enjoy going to Oregon. It's a beautiful state and you will love it.

If you travel to Oregon, you don't want to miss Crater Lake National Park.
