Thinking about going out on a long walk

I haven't gone out for walks since the winter started. The fogs and the headaches go hand in hand. I didn't want to risk it. I miss my long quiet walks. My little digital camera that I used to carry with me on my walks is also not working. Got to get me another one I guess. I also miss a couple of friends I made during my walks and the bright flowers along the fences. Maybe today if it isn't very cold I will get out.. That is my plan for the day.. what is yours?

I hope you get to go on your walk and enjoy your time. Nothing really going on here just feeling like a zombie.

@celticeagle There still was a heavy mist outside, So I didn't take the chance. Evening walks are out for me because of the heavy traffic here.

I also like to go out and get some fresh air even in winter. Today, our sidewalks are full of ice and the temperature with the wind chill is minus 10 C and so I have no plans to go out. However, I hope to do some exercises inside on my mini trampoline and with some weights to stay healthy.

@sofssu It's hard to meditate when one has a headache.

@1hopefulman so true. I can't do much on those day, I don't even come online to relax. But then the days are getting warmer so it will be goodbye to headaches for sometime.

@1hopefulman I need to go out not just for exercise, it is my time for deep thought and prayer or sometimes its for mediation on the scriptures. But its the time to get some fresh air. I wish I could get out without getting a headache.

Before I had kids, I used to wake up early and walk through our local college. I loved it because of the fog (it's rare to see fog these days). You get headaches with fog? But now I drop off the kids at work and walk through the same college - just a bit later - and not everyday. Hope you make it out!

@sofssu Oh sinuses. I guess the humidity and chill makes it hard? Maybe afternoon walks would be better?

@much2say I never had these problems before its just the last couple of years I have severe headaches when I go for my morning walks. The sinuses are on extra duty. LOL I love my morning walks.

My plan was to get out since after several days it was finally sunny but my sinuses were acting up and I got up pretty late and did not feel all too well. I am determined to get out tomorrow I usually take a walk which makes a loop and takes me about an hour to go all around and back home. I also make sure I have my handy digital camera with me.

@RasmaSandra aww,, I understand, I have the same problem. My sinuses act up when the weather is bad no matter what precautions I take. Had to miss out on my walk.

I think you should bundle up and go for a brisk walk. I used to get up at 5:00AM to walk until 6:45 before rushing home to shower and get ready for work every single day. Weekends I walked at 7:30. 30 minutes should be fine.

@DianneN It doesn't seem to help. the last time I went out for a walk in the morning I was clothes like an Eskimo, with a mask and all didn't help at all. Had headaches for the next five days, I wish I can get out of here. I'll try this evening.

I do my walks in our garden itself. I prefer our smooth paths than having to walk on rough roads and stray dogs. Happy walking.

We went out this morning, I had to buy a few things at Ikea. The day is warm and pleasant and I loved the landscape around the lake of Lugano.

You should go and enjoy a very long and relaxing walk! It helps to just be in nature sometimes! Even if that means you are surrounded by buildings.
