Hurt Feelings

Do you easily hide hurt feelings?
Some people shed tears, stay long at his room, refuse to talk to anyone, sulking all day! Others just take things easily, they won't show any feeling of being hurt, but deep inside, they are truly wounded.
I envy people who can still laugh and go on with life so easily though they have deep problems. They looked unaffected; no emotions to show.
It is not easy to act normally when you have a heavy heart.
Which one are you?

When my feeling is wounded. I usually let my pen cry via making a poem.

Yes, we can easily avoid being hurt here, just ignore, but when it is a close friend or relative, one can hardly hide the feeling.

I am a sensitive person. I have learned a little bit how to cope with being hurt. Our emotions follow our bidding, it only takes some training.

Being sensitive makes one cry easily when hurt, but it is good because we might get sick if we do not release the emotion and keep it inside.

@acelawrites You're probably right, but when the soul hits it, it's very hard to withstand that pain.

Maybe it has something to do with how we were raised up and our position in the family. I'm the eldest son so my father always expected me to be strong and was taught that such is a sign of weakness, now I'm the head of the family more is expected, not able to hide hurt or disappointment in failure would demoralize other family members, yeah that's just me and others might be different.

@acelawrites it's difficult to console them if I show unnecessary or too much emotions.

As head of the family, your children will look at you as their icon of strength.

I'm in a different category all together. When you grow closer to the Lord things of this world really don't bother you the same anymore. I realize the only one who had the right to be offended by people and wasn't was Jesus! Hard to explain, it's a Spiritual/Supernatural thing and it's amazing. =)

I agree, because if you are focused on "outside of the box" then you can think wiser; being close to God can help a lot in carrying one's load.

You are very wise in solving it; there are people who do not let hurtful events limit their activities; perceptions.

It depends on who hurt me and I share the feelings to my close friends and family. I am a very transparent person, sometimes I confront the person and tell her I am hurt.

It is better to tell them you are hurt; than presume they understand why you are acting differently.

@acelawrites you are right, and in that manner the person tries hard not to hurt you again.

It is good to release the emotion instead of keeping it in your heart or mind. It helps.

@acelawrites In my entire life as an employee in the present company I am employed, I cried once. It's out of anger with my officemate. I walked out of her in our office room, which we both occupy and cried in the comfort room. When I came back, I was still so angry and silent, she apologized and I exploded my anger.

I do the same sometimes; they might not notice that I really wanted to cry; just go to the comfort room.

@SIMPLYD It is udnerstandable when you have to burst out in anger when you know you are right. Some people needs that "shock" so they won't abuse your kindness.

@acelawrites I know and before I refuse to believe that. But now that I know myself better I know it’s not fake news.

You can not help it because it is physiological; health experts say there is hormonal imbalance during those periods.

I get angry at people that think they can make up stuff about me. I do not understand why they do it if they do not know anything about me or I may vent about it.
