I read ere today that actor Albert Finney had died today. He was 82.
But for me He is still alive and young as when he acted in Tom Jones (1963, still in YouTube).
Other actors that remain alive in my memory are Patrick Swayze dancing in Dirty Dancing (!982) and Robin Williams as his double role in Mrs. Doubtfire (1993).
But there are so many actors and actresses that are alive in our memories attached to a character that they played very well. Vivian Leigh was scarlet O´Hara and there are many actor determined by their characters.
Do you specially relate to an actor (or actress) in one of their characters?

Finney's character in that film epitomized Britain's "young angry man" at that time.

I grew up watching Robin Williams on Mork and Mindy. He was such a talented actor! Also Whitney Houston. It’s so tragic how her life ended and then her daughter passed too. It saddens me to see such awful deaths. But they will forever remain in my memories.
