It depends on the situation you are in. If there is no conflict with your new partner then go for it.

I am not friends with any of my ex's. I do talk to some of them but I do not consider us friends.

I still see my ex because we have children together and we want them to have a family relationship without hate and bad scenes. We are both remarried for many years and our daughter has 2 sons. On any special occasion we all get together for a dinner after going to the celebration. There are a lot of people that do the same thing. It makes it better for the kids and grandsons.

@dolceMiamore I know what you mean. It is not the kids fault so they should try to do everything to make things more comfortable for the kids.

How I wish that those who got divorced have a mind like yours...nowadays..they just remarried and forget their responsibilities to their children

Being friends with your ex is advisable is you both have moved on already.

I do not talk to my ex husband unless we have to
He and i share a child .. But she is 22 so i have no need to talk to him... I think it depends on the person and if you were good friends in the beginning and how your relationship ended for some it works orhers not

Wait until you daughter gets married and has children. You will probably be like I am with my ex. We go to a lot of the same sporting events the grandsons are in and school activities.
