Sitting too long is hazard to our health

While waiting in the Dr.office for my visit and picked up Newsweek.
They had an article about sitting too long is hazard to our health.
I talked to my Dr.on this and he agreed it is.
This is what he said to us.Mike and I
I do get up and walked around.If the weather is good.Go for my.walk

Too much sitting overall and prolonged periods of sitting also seem to increase the risk of death from cardiovascular disease and cancer. Any extended sitting — such as at a desk, behind a wheel or in front of a screen — can be harmful. ... Take a break from sitting every 30 minutes.

I have to remind myself to get up when I'm on the computer. Sometimes I get lost here on myLot and sit for too long.

I have heard that. That is why, when I do have to sit awhile, I make sure to get up and walk around.

I do try to get up and walk around a lot. I've started walking again even just around my building if it's bad weather so that helps. Good advice!

I was told that after my heart attack too. They told me I should get up and walk around every hour for at least 250 steps.

That's why having an active life is does good to our health. When being sitting down for long hours is important to take some time to stand up and walk for a while so our back muscles stretch.

Yes, i think strolling around every so often is good for us. I am kind of a restless person so I am up and down all day when I am home.
