Adding a Little Color to My Front Yard

Usually, I don't do much by way of decor in my yard here in Florida, I am only here for a few months. This year, however, I decided I was going to dress up one little corner.
I am going to do more, maybe add some mulch or white stone and a little fence but this is what I picked up yesterday. Well, in truth, I got the dragonfly a couple of weeks ago but now it has some friends. It is a solar light.

It is hard for mine to get enough sunshine because of my huge tree, I may have to move it.

I love little things like this. We recently had to use a tire to protect our mailbox and I want to put fake flowers in it but my mom doesn't want the flower to fly away but I so know I would be a person to just decorate everything.

I wonder if you couldn't fill in any space the tire leaves with dirt and plant real flowers?

Thank you, that is what I thought and now I can sit on the porch and watch the pinwheel spin.

These garden artifacts do add colour when flowers do not bloom.

I would love to grow flowers but since I am not here 8 months of the year I must find other ways to bring color.

Thank you, I have a very similar flag hanger in Connecticut, I have flags for every season and a few holidays too. Last year, my snowman was up when I left and it had been up all year, I never got around to changing it lol

I don't have a bird bath anymore but I rather miss it, I may buy one again for my home in Connecticut.

Thank you, I really would rather plant some plants but I am sure they would die once I leave.

@BelleStarr I agree. And they need such care here or you'd have a jungle when you return.

I have to be minimalistic since we are only here part-time and I will need to bring in everything before we leave.

I love solar lights and I like white stone. Flags are nice because you do not have to water them.

lol Ain't that the truth. I need to find a garden center where I can get the stone and maybe a few azaleas.
