My calves are super sore

I thought the squats were going to be what got me yesterday but I was wrong. It was the 60 calf raises that the coach had me do. They were on a calf-raise machine loaded up with 90 pounds of plates.
I felt some soreness when I woke up this morning but they got tighter and more painful as the day went on. . . to the point where I've pretty much been limping around. I just hope that this is as sore as they are going to get because I need to get back to the gym tomorrow evening. That will be almost impossible if I still can barely walk.
As for my quads, hamstrings, and butt from the 135 pound squats? Nope. . . don't feel a thing!

I've been working out consistently 2-4 times a week at a gym that's like a CrossFit gym for 2.5 years now. The semi-private sessions I've been having once a week lately have us doing some things that we just never regularly do--like the leg press machine and the calf machine. (Normally we don't use any machines)

Any exercise when one gets started on there is bound to be pain which vanishes after a few sessions.

Oh, I know about sore calves. I have made the mistake to do strenuous things that rebound on my calves and have walked stilted for a day or so. Hope yours feel much better by tomorrow.
