Promises: Do you fulfill all of them?

When you decide to make a promise to someone, most of them see it as something very important and personal and when you end up not fulfilling what you promised things can get complicated (depending on the type of situation, of course).
So, before you promise somthing (don't do it only when you're happy or hurried)... Think carefully about the consequences of breaking them because you have no idea how other people will react.

I agree, making a promise is a decision we take to do what we are saying and the person might be expecting it to be true, we can hurt people when not respecting the promise we did, as you say, we should think the consequences of our actions when not fulfilling the promise we did.

This is why I don't like to make promises. Unless I can be absolutely sure of my ability to deliver, I will not make a promise. I may promise that I will try to do something. I may promise to think about something. I will very rarely make a promise to actually do something.
