One of the coolest dances I've ever witnessed is Kecak Dance or in Balinese regional language means fire dance. This dance is very interesting because we can watch mass entertainment performances that depict role art by a group of male dancers and without accompanied by musical instruments or gamelan. The dancers usually number around 70 people. They all lined up in circles using a checkerboard shaped checkerboard.
The coolest thing is in this dance, it can be seen from the dancers burning with fire, but they have immunity so that their bodies do not burn. This dance is very sacred for Balinese so it is often performed for religious ceremonies. Dancers usually concede spirits and can communicate with the gods or ancestors who have been sanctified. The dancer is used as a medium to express His words. They then danced and sang in telling stories about RAMAYANA.
The contents of the Kecak Dance have deep stories and convey moral messages to the audience. Regarding things about loyalty (Shinta's loyalty to her husband Rama), sacrifice (Garuda who is willing to sacrifice its wings to save Shinta) and stay away from greed (the nature of the evil, Ravana). What I love the most apart from the beauty of this dance is their uniqueness when dancing with fireballs. Also beautiful scenery around. We can see this dance while waiting for the sunset. So beautiful.
I attached a video link for their dance. Hope you guys like this traditional dance.
