I can't stand it when someone tells you that they lied about something because they didn't want to hurt you. To me, finding out that someone was dishonest is much more painful.
I'm struggling with someone right now, who still is refusing to tell me the truth. It's not even about the actual situation, it's about honesty.
The strongest foundation of any relationship is honesty. I am honest to a fault, I don't have the ability to lie, it hurts my heart too much.
Humanity is declining rapidly, for every evil action always starts with a lie.

I rather be slapped with the truth than kissed with a lie as the saying goes.

I struggle with my oldest daughter with this ..i have to filter what she says to see if it adds up ..i told her always tell the truth ..she is doing better.. And always admits in the end when she does lie ro me because she knows i will find out .. She broke my trust bond with her many years ago ..were trying to rebuild
I do think honest is the best policy and have always been an honest straight forward person even when it aint easy and i guess i expect the same .. But it dont always turn out that way and it does hurt me ..

The hardest thing about lying is that you have to remember the lies that you told. So yes, they always end up getting caught in the end.
