Where did you meet your significant other

I met my husband on a blind date and we married exactly a year later. That was almost 53 years ago!. Boy, that makes me sound old, doesn't it? I really don't feel old at all. Except when all the usual aches and pains kick in.

I met my husband online. In May we have been married for 10 years. Before I met my husband I dated a couple of other people I met online. Those meetings were not a success, but fortunately I decided to try again. When my husband and I met things went fast, he moved into my apartment and 4 months later we got engaged.

Though we were from the same hometown, we never really met there. Through a common friend when I was still in college and he was just in high school. But we weren't interested in each other then. It was already after I graduated and he was in college that we became close friends because of basketball. My brother was their coach in the basketball leagues and I was the sort of manager of the team. We became best friends and never thought we would fall in love and it started there. Now we have a son who will turn 15 in March.

We live in the same block but it was only on our late twenties that we formally met and fell in love.
