I went online to see a list of some energy drinks and came across this Wikipedia article with a list of some of the more popular world wide.
You need to read the warnings and nutrition facts on every can or bottle of energy drink because in some cases you might hurt your health by drinking certain kinds. They contain in some cases concentrated levels of caffeine.
Caffeine is a stimulant. It can be found in tea, coffee or even hot cocoa.
But energy drinks are becoming a world wide craze. You need to know the facts. Below is one link from Wikipedia with a list of energy drinks around the world, with some facts in a basic chart that includes the caffeine level of each one. And below that link is another link that explains some of the dangers that come with consuming different kinds of energy drinks on the market, so beware and be careful and read those labels okay.
Here is the Wikipedia link for you to look at:

And here is the link to some of the dangers that certain energy drinks pose:

I drink water when I am thirsty, I usually add a slice of lime or lemon to add a bit of taste.

@LadyDuck , Crushed ice in a glass of cold filtered water with a slice of lemon is perfect and sometimes a sprig of mint.

I never cared for them. But both my ex, and my boyfriend use to drink them a lot.
My boyfriend would usually buy them for when we'd go to theme parks. lol

Yea, it keeps a person from falling to sleep if they get bored, I guess.

@Courtlynn , That will do in a pinch. But when I think about the electrolytes and so forth, I think that Gatorade is not only a good thirst quencher but helps the kidney function.

That's right. Why can't people just drink water and for that reason, fruit drinks maybe?

@scarlet_woman , Yes indeed. Good old fashioned orange juice. Naturally sweet and tart and good.

The thing is, they do not really provide energy, only excessive stimulation from caffeine.

It doesn't really in my opinion. Stimulants can take you up for a little bit and then you fall back down to zero almost instantly after it wears off.

Three cups a day of coffee should be enough. I used to drink more than that but had to cut back. Now I only have a cup of brewed coffee every few days if at all.

Yep, I figure they are also very expensive and I know you do not like sweet drinks so it is a double trouble drink. It has too much high fructose corn syrup and too much caffeine. A bad combination IMO.

@WiseGhots , If young people would learn before it's too late maybe prevent onset diabetes, heart disease, obesity, kidney disease and tooth decay. All this is form drinking sweet soft drinks with caffeine, high fructose corn sweetener and carbonation, which in itself causes brittle bones.
