Where Did All Those People Come From?

Anniston, Alabama is a small/medium size town. I live just outside it in a extremely small town.
But today I went to the big salty ham ( I better be quiet I said ham and salt @porwest) Eight lanes, crazy people that drive 60 in thick traffic and no one is polite, I mean I drive it like I stole it but these people are crazy! OH! And I have Tony yelling at people like they can actually hear him I went to the east side of Birmingham, Alabama today for Tony to see the new heart doctor and I turned in my Tax prep to the CPA, I hated that my CPA moved from downtown that I know well.
The big problem was that there was some sort of chemical spill at the water works that I wanted to drive passed to get to the CPA but no deal, highway 280 west was at a standstill. So I went after the doc appointment.
The doctor changed his medication for the AFIB and he is already feeling better. He got three more appointments for tests.Yuppie! More time in the big city.
My body is still buzzing from driving.
How was your Wednesday?

Thats the worst scenario i encounter everytime i drive to our hometown as i live in another town. Traffic, heavy traffic that makes the road look like a parking lot and when it eases, the motorits are stealing someone’s lane. I thought it only happened here, even there.

I heard something about Birmingham on the news, I wondered how close you were. Something about a mixup at the water works.

Yes I was stuck at a red light for 15 minutes while that was happening. I turned around when I could inch up enough to get in the turning lane.

@andriaperry I didn't know you were the close to Birmingham. My brother-in-law and his then-wife used to live there.

I know what you mean about traffic overload. The city that we live in is like that. And we lived all of our lives in such a rural area. I still cannot get used to the volume of traffic up here, and its worse on days like today after a little snowfall. But, I plug my dash cam in and drive like the rest of them, only safer.

@andriaperry I insisted that we both have one after my husband was involved in a chain reaction accident last summer. There are drivers who will just stop so that someone else will run into them. And the pedestrians up here walk with their head down texting, and they just walk out into the intersection, its almost like they want to get hit.

@Juliaacv Yes that was a scam that was running around here for a while and yes they do not care they just walk out, head down on the phone.

@andriaperry as long as you made it safe, that's fine. That must have been stressful to Tony

Sorry to hear about having to drive in the big city....That can get overwhelming. That's good that the change in the medication was having him feel better already!

When I am out on my mobility scooter people honk at me and I yell at them because I am where I should be.

My husband had to drive in that 'ham traffic for a couple of years before we moved. The aggressive insanity is contagious...it took a year and a lot of my refusing to ride with him before he started being a normal driver again.
