Damn! I have a long list. It depends on which State of the country you are visiting. In India, we have 29 States and 7 Union Territories. I can list some I personally like:
Makki ki Roti, Sarson Ka Saag, Idli Sambhar, Dahi Vada, Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji, Rice with Sambhar, Dal Makhani, Shahi Paneer, Dosa, Uttapam, Rasam, etc.. etc...

Hahaha,my friend its true you have a long list. Here in Kenya I used to work for an Indian family and I have tested some of the food. truly speaking you have very tasty traditional foods and I like them a lot.Thanks for your contribution.

@erictsuma It appears that another name for 'mrenda' is Jute Mallow and that the plant is also grown for jute fibre. It's a member of the same family as the mallow whose roots used to be used to make those candies called marshmallows (these days they use animal gelatin).

Thanks for your contribution. To explain on that ugali is a food made from maize flour and mrenda is a vegetable kind of food with very small leaves.

@erictsuma Never heard of those foods before. What is it exactly?
Traditional foods here would be like hamburgers, meat pies, pizzas I guess. Meat pies is more Aussie though.

One of my favorite foods from my country, the Philippines, is Kare Kare. What I love about this is the thick peanut sauce!
