Just realized that I haven't picked up my weights in a few days now! Not good since I want to pick up some heavier weights this week. I thought that I was doing quite well until I read that kids are working out now with weights and seven year olds are using the same weights. Definitely time to add a few pounds!! It will be summer soon... here's hoping and I don't want to have "old lady" arms!! Actually, I think that when I go downstairs... as soon as I post this to all of you, I might as well do a five minute walk. That is something else I'm trying to make a habit... walking more. It might be too cold to go outside, but there's no where written that you can't walk inside. No, I don't have a treadmill, but I have hallways lol!! And... for those of you who are ready for a healthy snack right about now... I just finished 2 heaping teaspoons of plain yogurt with 2 heaping teaspoons of strawberry yogurt, covered with sunflower seeds. That should take me up to lunch time!! Hope that everyone is having an awesome morning :)

I hope you can stick to your routine. I walked for 1 hour and 17 minutes (lol) today. I only do weights 3x a week at the gym. I hate exercising, but it does the trick!

Me too.... oddly enough, my daughter loves it!! Have no idea who she inherited that trait from?? But my challenge for March is working on my WILLPOWER... I am determine. So far this month, I have done all of the exercise part... but completely forgot the weights. I now have a program to remind me!!

I do hope that you get back into your routine. I know it can be hard sometimes, but I'm sure you'll be able to figure something out.

Did just that. The program is the first I open each morning so there is no getting away from it ;)

I wonder why I kept neglecting my time to buy yogurt. Good thing I got moringa powder as supplement.

Exercises helps you keep fit and strong. I used to jog for 2hours everyday until I stopped. I wish I hadn't stopped

Oh hope you'll pick up those weights. I haven't picked up weights for so many years. My arms are flabby. But I do take my daily walks with Danie.

@Hate2Iron Have you ever walked up and down the building steps? Some have done that. I did it before but not lately.

I first started working out with weights about 30 years ago, and while I have never been super disciplined in my efforts, I have come to regard this as one of the best things I have done in terms of my overall health. I do a 3 day split routine, so most weeks I work out 5 days, but sometimes it only works out to 4 days a week. Because of life's challenges, I have not done any exercise of any kind since the end of October 2018. I recently got back into it, and one of the things that I noticed is that even when I go for several weeks without working out, getting back in stride is far easier than when I first started. They say that muscle has memory, and it seems to be so. In addition to working out with the weights, I use a Tony Little Gazelle. I used to run, but I have arthritis in both knees and find that the glider removes the stress from the knees, while still providing a good aerobic workout.
