If someone in your family has a condition it can be genetic. So what conditions are in your family(not just immediate family but the whole family)? For mine its: diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, depression, and brain anuerysm. That's all I know of now. Luckily I don't have those, well I don't think I do at the moment. I'm a hypochondriac, so you can imagine how I am with all these diseases running in my family lol.

We tend to have heart conditions and cancers. My great grandma has lived thru colon cancer and another type of cancer, my grandma had a 25 pound tumor removed about 10 years ago, she had a minor heart attack years before, and my grandfather recently had a stroke. That's all on my mom's side! On my father's side, I recently found out that we have alzheimers. Besides that, I'm not sure, I just met my father's side of the family in January of this year, I haven't really gotten into that topic with them yet!

I have a niece who was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus type 1 when she was only eleven years. I find it hard to believe that such a yound person can be infected with the disease. After some research on diabetes, i found that its something that can't be helped due to genetics. I will like to share more info to all parents or care givers to have some informations on coping with diabetes. Hope this would be useful to all of you. Take care of your loved ones. http://diabetes.personal-health-guide.com
