At what age did you start dating?

This may seem like a weird post but I was scrolling through Facebook and I see many young kids like 12 and 13 year olds going on about needing to get a gf/bf or their lives are over. When I was 12, I had many other things on my mind other than dating as that is when my mom left and I had to step up to help my dad out. At the same time, my sister went for lack of a better word, crazy. My first boyfriend was the younger boyfriend of my sister’s boyfriend and while it was nice to have a boyfriend, deep down, I did not feel I was ready and I told Jeremy that. I was always honest with him. For our whole relationship as short as it was, I felt like it had been forced. Jeremy didn’t ask me to be his girl, my sister and his brother just put us together. Our first kiss was not on our terms and had to be witnessed. If I remember correctly, my relationship with Jeremy lasted maybe 4 or 5 months but this was 20 years ago. And the reason it ended was because I caught him having sex with a cousin of mine. In the same room my sister was having sex with Jeremy’s older brother. ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ Fast Forward 20 years and KK is 17. While she has had a few “boyfriends”, they haven’t really been in a real relationship. The boy she is on and off with, currently off, is the grandson of one of my friends and he is special needs. I like KK dating him because he actually doesn’t know what sex is. To him having a girlfriend is just to have someone to hang out with. Over this past summer, KK was “on” with Eric but got talked into dating her friend Eddie behind my back and behind Eric’s back. When I found out, I had a long talk with both of them and about a week later, KK ended things with Eddie telling him that she didn’t want to hurt Eric and if they had to hide their relationship that it felt wrong. Also, I did notice that when they sat together, Eddie always had to have his hand on her upper thigh but I could also tell that KK just was not comfortable with that. So I had a talk with her before we talked with Eddie and I told her that if he is pressuring her or doing things to her that she doesn’t feel comfortable with, she needs to speak up otherwise something could happen that she would regret. ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ As of this school year, KK has not been dating anyone. She has decided that she does not need a boyfriend while she is still in school as school is hard enough for her. Another reason is that she is seeing how boys are. Eddie no longer talks to her because he’s starting to run with the wrong crowd, vaping in the bathroom and stealing, etc. Another boy that has a crush on KK has been sexually harrassing another girl by saying things to her, texting her inappropriate things and putting her hands on her even though she has asked him to leave her alone. ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ ~ * ~ My question for anyone that has read this post: When did you start dating? Do you wish you had waited until you were older? Yes/No/Why
