Some of these may seem very straight forward but you would be surprised how many people don't do these! These are just things I personally have done to help myself to be more healthy and happy, and they work! 1) Get 7 - 9 hours of sleep a day! That's the recommended amount of sleep for an adult and for a teenagers or child its even more! You'd be surprised how much a good nights sleeps can help you to feel healthier and happier! 2) Find the time to tidy your living space! A clean environment can help to make you feel happier and calmer! If you are already stressed about something a untidy environment will only make this worse. They say a tidy room is a tidy mind! 3) Exercise regularly! Give yourself targets to meet each day, like running for ten minutes. When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine 4) Have a positive outlook! Studies have shown that a positive attitude helps build a strong immune system. In other words, your body believes in whatever you think, so strengthen your sense of hope! 5) Admit your mistakes. Just sit with a cool mind, ask yourself and think through as to what went wrong that made you commit the mistakes and forgive yourself for it! This genuine conversation with yourself will definitely make you a better and happier person. 6) Take up a Hobby! Passions bring internal satisfaction. Your hobby is something that relieves your mind from unwanted stress, boosts creativity and increases your performance at work. So, don’t let yourself lost in your work alone and fulfil your passions. 7) Drink Green tea! Green tea is the healthiest beverage on the planet. It is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful effects on the body. These include improved brain function, fat loss, a lower risk of cancer and many other impressive benefits. 8) Lower Sugar intake! Eliminating added sugars and maintaining a diet rich in whole foods has many benefits for the body. Reducing sugar intake and eating a healthful diet may help people: lose weight and prevent obesity. You will also have more energy throughout the day! 9) Be more positive about your appearance. No one is completely happy with what they see in the mirror! And if you are, well done! Learn to accept the things you don't like about yourself. When you think something negative about yourself, stop and reinforce the thought that you are not perfect and that's okay! Then list the things you do like about yourself. 10) Relax for an hour before bed! To really relax, shut down the Internet at least an hour before bed. And don’t exercise just before bedtime, as that increases your circulation. You need to clear your mind, so watch television or read a book or magazine to wind down. Some people think a shower wakes you up, so consider switching to taking a relaxing bath instead. If you have any ways you have improved your health and happiness please let me know in the comment section! :)

I agree it is very hard and takes a lot of willpower to get into the routine of this. Just be aware that slip ups are fine, just continue regardless and try to get back on track as quickly as possible!

Those good tips! What has helped me a lot is avoiding junk food and processed foods since they are often stripped of nutrients and have harmful substances. I eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Hi! Thanks for your response, yes I completely agree! Junk and processed foods only work to make us sluggish and tired, they can also give you bad skin! But since I stopped eating those kinds of foods, I have so much more energy, my skin is brighter and clearer and I have lost weight! Excellent tip! :)
