My lost parcel suddenly appeared!

Just before Christmas I sent my eldest son a gift through the post. Unfortunately, he didn't get it - it had mysteriously disappeared somewhere in the postal system. Despite complaining to the relevant department the parcel wasn't found and we assumed it was lost. I repurchased the gift and sent it again - successfully this time.
Can you imagine my surprise when my son phoned me today to say that the original parcel had just been delivered to his house. Better late than never I suppose and, if it breaks, he now has a spare!

@JudyEv Maybe it was down the back of the sofa in the employees' lounge!

@ThreeTeddies The post office had misplaced it and it resurfaced.

@LadyDuck Just one of those things I guess. At least it turned up eventually - we thought it had been stolen and we wouldn't ever see it

@ThreeTeddies
I understand this very well. I sent something out to someone and it never arrived and who knows where it is and mailed something else from Israel to the United States and it also did not arrive so had to resend it later on. That is a miracle that he got the original one. so what happened to the gift that you bought again?
