I had a bit of a JJ ( @myklj999 ) moment happen to me on tuesday. I went into a local thrift store and looked around , just to kill some time, and I ended up finding a basic guitar stand for $7. It was in great condition, so I feel that I got a deal! Then I came across a pile of old records. A mountain of 12" vinyl containing a lot of random unknown music artists. But buried amongst the vinyl rumble of cardboard album covers and dust, were a couple of records that If I had a record player, thered be no doubt I wouldve bought them just because of personal nostalgia. The Saturday Night Fever album because I enjoy the movie and music. And the Burl Ives because of my fondness for the Rankin Bass film he was in (voiced Sam the snowman in "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"). I stood there holding and looking at both albums wondering if I should buy them or not. If I did, I wouldnt have a way of playing them. Then again, I probably could framed the covers and have them displayed on my wall. I put them back, paid for the stand and walked out. It was an actual hard decision to make. @Plethos I am not but not SO OLD! It's a modern semi professional turntable. My husband bought the most recent in 1992 if I remember well. We have an old one of the 60's, it's also very good.

When I was a teenager, I bought that Saturday Night Fever album. I really loved that song "Stayin Alive". I still have that album. It is one of my prized possessions.

Congratulations. That's about as warped a combination as I come up with (e.g., the Ramones and Teresa Brewer).

My parents loved Burl Ives. I still have a lot of vinyl records and we do actually have a player but I never get them out and play them. I really should one day.
