After weeks of rain and cold, we suddenly have warm and clear Monday today.
I'd guess the actual temperature to be about 68 F (20 C or so), but in the bright sun, it feels much warmer than that.
I also heard both woodpeckers and doves yesterday. Is Spring (or Fall) on it way where you live?

@TheHorse This is so crazy. It WAS cold - but today is rather warm - with the sun totally over us. Seriously, with our drought, we welcome the rain here . . . it's just crazy it's been on the colder side all this time - it's already mid March!

@TheHorse It's about 150 miles North of London and just West of the Pennine Hills which run down the spine of North England.
Thanks to prevailing Westerlies and the close proximity of the Pennines Manchester gets quite a lot of rain. Apparently we get more rain during daylight hours than any other town/city in the UK.

I'm still wearing sweatshirts and light jackets, but it's definitely less "biting" than it has been. And, given that there's another nine days to go, I guess the groundhog was right....spring's early.

Today, it was 50 and Wednesday is supposed to be 60. I don't know what's coming after that but it feels like Spring right now.

@TheHorse Sometimes they still feel that way but when I remember what it was like when I was a kid, I realize that this is really nothing. We do get the Polar Vortex a lot more often now so the very worst part of Winter is actually worse quite often but it only lasts about a week and the rest is really easy. It's supposed to be 61 tomorrow and it's only mid-March, that used to be very rare but now it's common. We had an 80-degree day in February two years ago. It wouldn't mean anything if these were isolated incidents but they're not. This is becoming the norm. Even today, it's 46 right now, used to be warm for March but not now.

@xander6464 I wonder if the "variance" in temperatures is increasing, even as overall temperatures are rising. I haven't checked.

In the Caribbean, its feels like summer all year long. It would be better if not for the extra mosquitoes and hurricanes.

@Coffeeman970 That sucks. I lost a nice Gibson guitar in a flood once. Is playing in your blood? Do you think you'll get another.

@TheHorse I hear that all right. Rebuilding things are expensive. I use to play the alto saxophone but it got destroyed from the hurricane,
