It actually feels hot out!

@TheHorse This is so crazy. It WAS cold - but today is rather warm - with the sun totally over us. Seriously, with our drought, we welcome the rain here . . . it's just crazy it's been on the colder side all this time - it's already mid March!

Today was lovely, but its going to hit 40 F tonight and there may be showers tomorrow. I never complain about rain in California.

@TheHorse It's about 150 miles North of London and just West of the Pennine Hills which run down the spine of North England. Thanks to prevailing Westerlies and the close proximity of the Pennines Manchester gets quite a lot of rain. Apparently we get more rain during daylight hours than any other town/city in the UK.

How far North is Manchester? I associate England with rain. And more rain. London was my father's favorite town. But I've never been there.

Sounds good. I've actually been in Florida in Winter when it was cool! Not every Winter day is a beach day. Am I correct?

@TheHorse They do, they can be pretty noisy, there are many that come to my feeders.

@kepweng Switzerland has no sea and no ocean. Have you ever looked at a map of Europe?

Do they make a cool sound when they take off there? I love that sound.

@TheHorse Sometimes they still feel that way but when I remember what it was like when I was a kid, I realize that this is really nothing. We do get the Polar Vortex a lot more often now so the very worst part of Winter is actually worse quite often but it only lasts about a week and the rest is really easy. It's supposed to be 61 tomorrow and it's only mid-March, that used to be very rare but now it's common. We had an 80-degree day in February two years ago. It wouldn't mean anything if these were isolated incidents but they're not. This is becoming the norm. Even today, it's 46 right now, used to be warm for March but not now.

@xander6464 I wonder if the "variance" in temperatures is increasing, even as overall temperatures are rising. I haven't checked.

I wonder if I'd notice the gradual warming if I moved back there. I remember some LONG Winters.

49 F feels cool to me. We may have rain again tomorrow.

I have today off. Depending on how warm it gets, I may go cycling somewhere else. Like at Inspiration Point, where I often hike.

It felt hot in the direct sun. But t was really just a nice early Spring day, with temps in the mid- to upper-60s.

It really was a beautiful day here. After work, I went to my friend's house to play music. Before we even got to music, we just sat in his back yard and enjoyed the sushine.

Today is a tad cooler, but it's still nice out.

Where are you located? In a hotter climate than Northern California?
