This one was a little trickier to think of options for at first thought. I don't know why but I could't think of any songs to start with so I had to do a bit of digging, which inevitably ended in me finding loads of songs I had never heard of. This is the fun part of doing these challenges when you find new music. Some songs I had never heard of: Leo Sayer - One Man Band Showaddywaddy - Three steps to heaven Queen - 7 seas of rhye Contenders for the crown: Phil Collins - One More night UB40 - One in Ten Bob Marley - Three Little Birds Commodores - Three times a lady Fleetwood Mac - Seven Wonders Paul Simon - 50 ways to leave your lover But I finally settled on the Smashing Pumpkins - 1979 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aeETEoNfOg&list=PLuZBg0EI5nU7DFB0Ug7eJweC-NfaFxHGR The lyrics are pretty depressing when you look into them for example: We don't even care, as restless as we are We feel the pull in the land of a thousand guilts And poured cement, lamented and assured To the lights and towns below Faster than the speed of sound Faster than we thought we'd go, beneath the sound of hope But this song holds a strange nostalgia for me, not for 1979 as I wasn't born then but for the 90s when I was a pre-teen This song was released when I was 9 in 1996 and although I don't think i would have listened to it when it first came out I definitely remember listening to it when I was a teenager. I think it captured the feel of growing up in the 90s really well. Day 3's title is a song that reminds you of summer time - Quite tricky to do when it is freezing outside!!
