30 Day Song Challenge Day 3 - A song that reminds you of summer

It is currently 1 degree centigrade at the moment so thinking of summery songs is not coming naturally to me. I asked my partner what he would choose, and he said anything by Bob Marley as he used to listed to Bob Marley while lounging around in the park with his friends. I don’t really have any memories like that. The only songs that I remember listening to in the summer are awful holiday tracks like the Macarena, and Cha-cha Slide. I will not be choosing them to talk about. Hoverer there are plenty of songs that have a super summer feel even though I don’t have a summer memory to go with them. One of my all-time favourites is ‘Summertime’ by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, like my day 2 choice it has a real nostalgic feel although I definitely wouldn’t have been listening to it it 1991 when it was released. Except for the summer vibes it gives out, what I also like about this song is that it is safe for kids to listen to, although it’s about girls there are not swear words in it and nothing too obvious. Will Smith (The fresh Prince) was great at making Hip-Hop / Rap music that was family friendly. There are not many like him.
