How Can I Add Warmth to a Cold World?

I enjoy inspirational and motivational quotes. I discovered a new one today that I just love- "If the world seems cold to you, kindle fires to warm it." The quote is attributed to Lucy Larcom, who was an American teacher, poet and author in the 1800's (Wikipedia). It re-sparked the desire in me to bring some warmth to a cold world. How can I do that? How have I done it before? Giving is the best way. There are so many ways to give! We can give time, a listening ear, donate money, material goods. Maybe just a simple but sincere compliment with a smile will warm someone's heart more than you know! When I give, it feels great and I temporarily forget my own troubles! I've been the grateful recipient of warmth too, in many forms. How have you given or received warmth in this (sometimes) cold world?

I have given warmth by praying for those that need it and telling people about my Father in Heaven and Jesus-who are so amazing! =) They love us all so much!
