Update for today

My friend @Webeishere aka Bob Olson or Grandpa Bob was released from the hospital yesterday and is at home. He has even posted a view of his surgical scars online on Facebook, if you are his friend there. He is looking good, but sore.
I was busy yesterday with looking into a part time job. I should be onboarding and doing the paperwork today.
I will be an "event specialist" or "product demonstrator" in a Wal Mart store, likely in Wichita. About three days most weeks. Pay for part of the driving time.
Downloading the forms, etc. will keep me busy today.

UPDATE--I decided I do not want the job for several reasons. Some have to do with my physical condition. Not bad, but standing on concrete six hours at a time will hurt my fibro and I also have a knee that locks up unexpectedly. If I were to have an emergency with it, I would be working more than an hour away. I never know when I will have a bad fibro day.
Health reasons is what I told the recruiters, but I also do not want to commit to working so many weekends. I am a song and worship leader at church on Sundays. Cannot do it if I am working.
Coming up in April I may spend a few days in Oklahoma helping my brother and dad. My brother is having back surgery.
I just did not have any peace of mind about taking the job.
It is cooler today and we are still in the wind storm that is all over the US.
We went out for a half priced milk shake last night, not a good thing for sleep.
Now I get to read your posts a bit.

I'm sorry you decided against the job. But you have many good reasons for it.

I have worked hard to get healthy and I do not think it is wise to do something that hurts it.

The job is fun. I have done it in the past. On the other hand, it would be against medical advice and my own best interests to take it.

It's good of you to keep us informed about Bob but I wish he'd do it himself. If he can facebook, he can myLot! If we all bugged him to come back, do you think he would?
Good luck on your job search.

I decided not to take the job. I updated as to why. Yep, there are tons of people who would like to see Bob Olson back. He has visited with JJ some.

Fredo, I chose not to take it. I have some medical issues that would get worse if I did.

He is too social to stay locked up in a hospital.

I do not blame you for not taking the walmart job.
The wind is up here but its March and expected, it was so bad last night, and now, that I turned off the alarms, yes the wind was causing the alarm to go off every now and then.

I would not have been a Wal Mart employee, but I do have to keep reminding myself what happens when I am on the concrete floor at Wal Mart too much. I saw online that this is a particularly bad case of windiness, even for March.
