I spent more than 100 hours of my life without electric power (Thursday through Tuesday), telephone lines died, of course also the batteries of mobile phones, water, transportation, frozen foods, fuel stations, everything failed and the worst part was the number of people who died in hospitals that depended on auxiliary respirators since the secondary energy sources failed and did not start. The government of Maduro (the dictator of Venezuela) says that a hacker took control of the main hydroelectric source, however that is not possible because all of the automatic control systems of this hydroelectric dam are analogic then he said that the USA they used some type of electromagnetic machine to overload the transmission lines of electricity promoting the blackout, they are just stupid theories. The reality is that the whole system is without maintenance for years and a fire started in a remote (remember that we are in the dry season in Venezuela) and affect the lines of power, affecting then the entire country (90%).
The photo is of an electrical tower covered by weeds due to lack of maintenance

Wow! This is so tragic!
I really dislike when government leaders make up stories and place blame on others in order to conceal their own negligence towards their citizens. I'm sorry to hear your country is struggling like this. There is just no excuse for that kind of inhumanity and negligence.
