Well I spent around 2 hours in kitchen and I am all prepared for tomorrow's lunch party. My home made dessets are ready and the lemonade made by my daughters is in fridge for chilling.
I have made two types of chutney and dahi vada too. All chopping, boiling and pressure cooking work is done. Chicken and paneer being marinated and kept in fridge for the starters. Mutton is washed, cleaned and marinated with turmeric.
So I am all set and can go for a good night sleep. I will need another two hours in morning to do the final cooking and be ready for the feast.
It has been long tiring day. This might be my last post till tomorrow afternoon. I will keep you updated about the party.
I made tradition food for Holi, the festival of colors and the desserts malpua and kheer( in the earthern pot) can be seen in the picture.
So a Good night/ Good morning.
Catch you all later. I will answer the notifications later.

@allknowing My husband says that I fish for that.
Party organizing must be demanding but enjoyable.
I sometimes cook on order for few of close friends for their parties. My biryanis and chicken dishes are popular. But I do not want to make it in a business as that would just make me tired and kill my interest. I do it only for few friends who just tell me in advance to check my availability, If I am okay I accept the order or else they have to check some where else.

What you see in major part of picture is a sweet dish Malpua.
You can see kheer in the corner in the earthen pot.
Malpua is fried batter of banana, milk, all purpose floor, dry fruits powder, semolina powder and they are dipped in suagr syrup. Kheer is like porridge or rice and milk will lots of dry fruits on top.

Holi is on 20 and 21 March but you made it some earlier. We here don't made any thing for holi. You are also fond of earthen pot like me. I like chapati made on earthen tawa. People in rural area still using earthen pot. But in my are I never saw any person using earthen pot. Any food made in earthen pot is much healthy than others.

Cooking in earthen pot gives a special flavor. I always make kheer and rabdi in them.
We have special dishes for Holi like malpua, dhuska, Gujiya, Aloo jackfruit curry etc. It is a custom to make those on this day.
I will make it again on Holi. We had an early party for one of the friends who visited from Sydney for a short time and is leaving tonight.

I love it. I am so interested in hosting such parties that I find an increase in my excitement and all my tiredness goes off.
But many a times on regular days I feel tired doing nothing.

Malpua is a must for us on Holi. It is a custom to offer it to God in my family. So we defintiely make it thrice in a year. Once for Holi and two times for the two navratras on Ashtmi day.
