Too easy, right? Someone already guessed this song would show up on my list of favorite hits that have "eyes" in the title. Well, now, won't that make your brown eyes blue? (Sorry, that song won't show up.) Here's the first "big hit" on the list. #10: These Eyes - Guess Who Aw, go on, guess who! (No, not Bruce Who, we covered that already.) The first hit by the Guess Who as the Guess Who (before that they were Chad Allen & the Expressions) was the beginning of a whirlwind two years of great collaboration between piano player/lead singer Burton Cummings and guitarist Randy Bachman. Bachman didn't stay long in the band, leaving for a number of reasons (he was married to a Mormon woman at the time and had converted to the religion, so the rock and roll lifestyle wasn't for him; and, he had gallbladder issues that frequently had him in emergency rooms). Another great song I haven't heard in a while. I just love this one. Just to catch up here. There was the Guess Who and another band The Who right?

Correct. The Who are from England, the Guess Who from Canada. And to confuse people more, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons had a hit under the pseudonym “the Wonder Who.”

Since Canadian radio stations were forced to play some Canadian songs, this one played a lot here because it is also a great song.
