Rock painting party

Collage I made of the photos I took of my painted rocks

A couple of days ago, I was invited to a rock painting party. It sounded like fun, and I could always use a trip out of the house, so I said yes. We went this afternoon to a house that a lady had rented via AirB&B. It had a huge backyard, and she had a table set up out there and a big bowl of rocks and numerous paints. There were four other ladies there besides the lady I came with and me, and they were all really into this rock painting thing. They were all talking about different mediums to use and this paint and that whatever...I just sat there painting my rocks. To be honest, I had no clue what I was going to paint, but then I went to my "old standby" when I do some kind of art, bears . Then one rock I picked up looked like a moon to me, so I did a simple little alien on it. Towards the end I painted a little arm on him so he could wave, but I didn't get a photo of that. I felt a bit out of place because I wasn't as "into it" as the other ladies there were, but it was something to do outside the house, so I guess that was a good thing.

@Mavic123456 but I would be able to tell they weren't real because 1) I don't paint well, and 2) they would be shaped funny.

It sounds like fun. We had a couple of rock painting parties and hid the painted rocks for people to find. They had happy and encouraging sayings.

Rock painting is evidently a big thing here. There are those who paint rocks and leave them around town for people to find and either keep or hide somewhere else.
