Infrared Sauna

Hi! How is everyone’s Sunday doing? I am pumped as I am almost done with my 4 hour overtime shift, (and it has been hardly painful at all!) and I will have all day tomorrow off to do as I please. Am excited. It has been a trying week. Early afternoon today, me and my sister bought a groupon for a 40 minute infrared sauna session at a local wellness clinic. I have been in normal saunas but never an infrared one. Supposedly, it has a variety of health benefits including helping joints, reducing inflammation, increasing metabolism, relieving stress, opening pores and releasing toxins, and more. I am not sure I am totally sold on the whole benefits thing, but I was sweating my brains out at 150 degrees f for the 40 minutes. When I got out though, I felt great! I am going to play around and see what kind of fun new things I can find on Groupon to do. Next on my list is a massage, and then maybe a “float therapy” I saw online as well. Have you ever done this? Or tried anything else new lately?

@maezee That is very interesting. I have never heard of that. I have been in regular saunas too.

I'm glad you enjoyed the sauna. No, I've never had an infrared sauna.

I was last in a sauna just before Mother's Day last year. I had a half day at the spa and that was part of it. I'd love to do the hydra-therapy thing also, sounds so interesting.
