I personally would rather have my own. But I think that if you have the money and dont mind, that adopting a child from another country is the best gift you could give them- a shot at a real life! So if you can afford it- more power to you! This world is already over populated! lol...

I'd rather to have my own child. A girl and a boy. I'll name the girl Calista. But still have no idea about the boy's name.

I already have my own children. :)
I think to adopt a child is ok for couples who cant really bear a child for medical or health reasons. The adoption should I think be done in a proper and legal way. Wherein there should be proper documents for reference when the time comes.

With all the children in this world without parents, I would definately adopt.
I see no reason to have a child when many need parents.

This is something I can't understand. If you have no medical problem why not your own child. No doubts there are many children in this world are without parents, but compared with your own child, I don't think, there will be any bonding that tie between you and the child.

I have 3 biological children and my husband and I are planning on adopting 2 boys from Haiti. After those adoptions go through we would like to adopt a girl ... we're not sure from where. We'd have 6 kids total, 3 girls and 3 boys.

I have 1 child who soon will be 43 years old. I am a grandmother and a great-grandmother. I lost 5 babies by my 2nd husband and am very grateful for the one I had. God really blessed me. I was going to adopt a child when I was in my mid 40's but after thinking for 2 weeks and deciding to do it, the mother had adopted him out without telling me. I was very torn up over that. I had talked to attorney and found out what it would cost and everything. I was single but worked in a care home and could afford it.

Adoption is suck a wonderful thing. I have 2 children of my own and we would love to adopt an older child when time and money permits. Adoption can turn into a long process.
