when you open a pm (private message), the trash can shows up on the opposite corner of your or the sender's name.
for example, your name is on the left so the trash can is on the right upper corner of your message.
your sender's name is on the right, so the trash can is on the left upper corner of his/her message.
you have to do this one by one, though (manually), since there is no Select All/Delete All option yet.

It is not too hard to do as others have shown. I just leave them there.
