My young neighbor friend came over late this morning and we chopped up the soil in my small planters and got to work with our Spring planting
We pretended to be Ninjas, or something (we used my kitchen knives), and brutalized the soil so it was nice and soft and ready for seeds. Then we topped the old soil off with some fresh planting soil I happened to have on hand.
Finally, while he rode his bike with a younger Indian friend (aged about five), I planted green beans, corn, sun flowers, and tomatoes. My young friend reminded me to plant green beans next to the corn, and I did so.
Have you started planting for the Spring? I always love it when the young green beans, corn, and sunflowers first poke through. Tomatoes seem to have a mind of their own.

I planted snow peas over a week ago...of course once I got seeds in the ground the never-ending rain ended.

@TheHorse Spring can be pretty cool around here. The planting times for snow peas in our area ranges from February through April so we should be good.

@SophiaMorros I plant snow peas early in California. They enjoy the cooler weather.

Sounds like a good time. He is learning since he reminded you how to plant.

Ah, it's that time again. I wish you a Good Planting Season and a Good Harvest Season this year.
I sowed some pumpkin seeds, and transferred the okra and roselle seedlings to the beds this morning. If it rains tonight, I can skip watering them tomorrow.

We have some tomato seeds planted that have come up... and some kale but they are still tiny. They will stay inside until May and then we will move them. :)
