And daffodils along the creek and in the ivy bed. Yes, there are daffodils everywhere here at the moment. This is such a good sign as we know the season is changing and soon the daffodils will be gone and other flowers will appear. Most of what grows on our land was placed by others so many years ago. We are happy the flowers volunteer to return each year as we do nothing to help! Are you a daffodil fan or is it just us?

I have them planted around my trees in the backyard and they are the first thing to bloom. They are happy flowers to me.

The best part @bunnybon7 is that we never do anything for any of these plants. Everything has been here for as long as we have.

They are gorgeous and I'm wondering if that is what I'm seeing peeking out of the snow. I have no idea what spring flowers the previous owner has planted... but there is a lot of it!! I think that I see one tulip, but there are these tiny green pointy things coming through the snow... have no idea!!

Oh I remember this one flower that welcomed me when i visited my sister in NY last year. I was so amazed that they are almost everywhere and they grow fast and when they stop flowering they will bloom again next year.

Yes @rsa101 they just grow back. We don't do anything but ignore the daffodils and here they are again.

This is very beautiful. Now I found something interesting. The daffordils here are white rather than yellow. Usually they are one kind of flowers for Chinese New Year. I like this flower and it also smells very well.

Whatever daffodil the former owner planted is what we have. We never added any, which would have made a more interesting view @youless

Many have told us over the years they have to fuss with their bulbs to keep things growing. We have never done a thing and they always come back @marguicha

Sadly bulb flowers like daffodils, tulips, irises, etc., don't do good down here as the weather doesn't get cold enough during the winter--we have to look for Queen Myrtle Crepes to start blossoming to know it is Spring! I'll take whatever Mother Nature gives us!

That's what we do @GreatMartin If it is green and grows, we let it grow, including the weeds.

I've only seen a few when mom tried to grow then here but they don't do well in desert regions.

I do like daffodils, but only planted some for myself a few years ago. I knew that spring comes earlier in NC, but had forgotten how early. It's mid april here in Michigan and the tulips are finally coming up through the ground. We have some warm days followed by several much colder days, so I think our early flowers are a bit mixed up. I keep watching for the crocuses too. When they show up, I may take some pictures, but it could be a bit of time yet, or not. That remains to be seen.

@PatZAnthony daffodils are narcissi . Just a bit of botany that I only learned myself fairly recently.
