Thank Goodness It’s Monday!

What a crazy wild and busy weekend we had and although every day is Friday for me, I never thought I’d welcome Monday with open arms.
We ate breakfast and dinner out every day, had no time for TV, played tennis and golf, met our nephew’s adorable new girlfriend, spent time with family and friends, found out a nice neighbor died at the age of 56 from a heart attack, and spent hours helping our younger son choose furniture and fabrics for the sitting room in his new house via texts. I blew off a friend who is down from New York, and feel awful about it. Half my myLot time was spent on the phone, with texts, and on FaceTime.
I’m so happy it’s Monday, and am going to skip the gym this morning. I didn’t sleep well last night and need a day to unwind.
How was your weekend!
~Photo was taken at my brother’s house Saturday night.

Thank you! We are still in shock over hearing about our neighbor. We had dinner with him last month and got to know and like him so much. Although I enjoyed our weekend, it was way too busy even for me. I'm doing laundry right now and have an errand to run, and oh, just emptied the dishwasher I loaded days ago!!! I'm looking forward to a much more relaxing day today.

Oh, Hanni, I am exhausted, but we had so much fun with my brother, his wire, our nephew, and his new girlfriend. We went to the pool afterwards which at night, felt like being on an island. We laughed so much, that we didn't want to disturb the neighbors, so we went up to our place for a while. My stomach hurt so much from laughing!!!
We also had a wonderful time at dinner with friends last night.

What a great photo! After reading everything you did over the weekend I can understand why you need a day off.

Thank you. We are still in shock about our neighbor. We had dinner with him last month and had gotten to know him much better.
I've finally emptied the dishwasher and just this minute finished two loads of laundry. I do have to run out to do some errands later, but they shouldn't take too long.
Haven't seen Orville, yet today. This time of year he seems to vacation down the shoreline.

I have never been bored a day in my life, but love it when we have no plans and can stay home. Enjoy your Monday, too. I'm myLotting as fast as I can before my husband returns from the pool. He can talk my head off and bother me when I'm myLotting. He just doesn't get it.

Good that you had all fun activities. I could sense my adrenaline rush reading your post.
Sad to know about your neighbor dying so young. May his soul rest in peace.

Thank you. The little time I had for myLot was aggravating. As soon as I sat down the doorbell would ring, along with the phone,
We had dinner with our neighbor last month and had just gotten to know him better. It is still a shock to us all.

@DianneN I can understand that. Today I am facing the same. Whenever I am here, the door bell rings. We are having a lot of visitors today.
Yes it must be a shock. I pray for the family to get strength to overcome the sorrow.

@LowRiderX There are some on here I know who don't seem to ever go out with friends. I don't think they have any except for a former co-worker. Very sad.

Sounds like you were as busy as a bee last weekend.I am not sure if the "blew off a friend" means you standed this friend up.

@DianneN Thank you for explaining it to me ! I didn't know the precise meaning of "blow off" before now.

I was unusually busy. By blowing off a friend means I didn't even respond to her text, nor have I called her. She invited me to join her, but I never responded. I'm overwhelmed by people sometimes and need my peace and quiet.
I would never stand up a friend if we had plans.

@DianneN Haha, at least you're honest about it! I would certainly try to keep up, but I'm sure I would quickly fall behind. At least right now I can use the excuse that I only have one good leg! lol

I was in a real funk on Saturday, I did not want to go to Saturday evening Mass and really not even any place. However, the Holy Spirit kept nudging me to attend. So, I did attend Mass and felt much better.
