Medium Progress Report for March

I was pleasantly surprised at this month's earnings. My February, my first month in the Partner Program, I was active only two weeks and I made $6.87. In March I made $13.18, and I posted nothing new the last week of counting before payout.
I would be encouraged except for one thing. Someone posted a history of Medium in the Medium Mastery Facebook Group. I don't think I'll shut my blogs down just yet. I'm hoping this won't turn into another Bubblews experience. I think the site will remain, but they've changed the way they treat content and whether or not they pay people in the past, and there's no guarantee this new program will continue to pay out.
So I'll use the Bubblews wisdom someone gave me when I joined that -- milk it while you can but know it could stop paying anytime. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying it. Time will tell how successful this experiment will be.

Glad you are doing good there. I agree to never trust the sites, especially when they pay real well.

sometimes it is harder to find a site to write for :-) I guess we are the vagabonds of the internet, carrying our coffee can and wandering from site to site ...

@bagarad I don't blame you, I was never able to get a copy of my 1000+ Niume posts.

@bagarad My issue was the size of the collection, the admin team after the passing of the site creator, could never help.

That makes two of us. One writer today posted her earning history and she'd made almost $6,000 since October 2018. Of course she writes often and has had most of her articles curated. Curated articles get more free distribution. So far I've only had one curated and I have very little content on the site yet.

Hope it doesn't turn out like Bubblews

Me, too, but the owner of the site has more public history than the owner of Bubblews, since he also is a Twitter founder. The history of Medium is also public if one searches.

You are doing really well, I’m sure before long you will make even a greater amount on Medium!

I hope you are right. I just wish I had time to publish more this month.

I have twenty articles there that are eligible to earn money because they are behind the paywall. Medium members with paid subscriptions read those articles, clapped for them, commented, and highlighted passages. The more positive interaction the articles got from members, the more I got paid. Some people post something every day and some post more often. If I could post two articles a week or more I would probably increase my earnings dramatically, especially if some of them were curated and distributed by the site.
