from where i come from, most students who perform well come from poor families who cannot even afford the fees. Despite their performance in class, they still stay at home more often due to lack of cash. Should these students be rewarded for their performance? or what do you think is the best thing to do for them?

I believe hard work should pay off, but sometimes society does not reward those all the time. The fact is education to so high and be great if it was income base for most families.

There are deserving student who deserve cash rewards to compensate their educational needs. There are a lot of intelligent people that come from poor families. If they were given these cash rewards, they should use it wisely.
