Things you will only recognise or know if you were around pre internet

I was just looking at a post somewhere else online about a child who didnt know what to do with an old dial phone. It got me thinking of all the things now obsolete that only those of us who are older would recognise. 1. Touch typewriter 2. Tape cassette to record music 3 Push button TVs and black and white TVs 4 Rabbits ears 4 Coin operated public phones 5 Beepers or pagers 6 Cameras with film that you had to get developed 7 Telephones that had to be plugged in to the wall 8. Having to look up a phone number in a big telephone directory 9 Having to get directions from a paper map 10 Wind down car windows Im sure there are many more. Do you remember things that are no longer around or done the same way since tecnology took hold.

I remember when children ran and played on parks instead of using tablets.

I remember that too! I grew up doing that! It's really fun doing that. You get to interact with real friends and not friends from the internet... One of the happiest days of my life!

@teenal Yes I do remember all those things. I still have a phone at home that I ask people to call on and leave a message and I call them back on my cell phone.

I remember those house phones. You never knew who would be on the other end when it rang. You would be afraid to leave the house in case a new boyfriend rang and you missed the call or at least I was!!

@teenal I never thought of that. I have a way that they can leave me a message so I can call them back.

We had an old dial phone in my home. At that time most people had replaced them with other kinds of phones. One of my friends came for a visit and she said "What is that? How does it work?"

I used to have to pump with my hands to get water from the ground, and now everything is all with electric.

I remember those Pumps. Now we have everything on tap. I remember outdoor toilets too. No indoor plumbing at all.

Every 10 years the 70% of the technology changes completely. So it's nutural that kids don't know the "old" technology
