How is your weekend going?

I had a lot of things going on today. In the morning I attended my close friend's dad's interment. Then did a little grocery shopping. I had to take my nieces to their favorite fastfood chain here as a graduation gift. Then they asked me to buy them boiled peanuts and corn before going home. Then I had to do a little work. I have a weekend job of being an encoder. So far, enjoying my weekend. How about you?

I had an early walk around the town proper with my nephew then proceeded to a mini-grocery store to buy some stuff. I attended to some laundry and clean up tasks the rest of the day. I finally had the chance to do myLotting after dinner.

I also went grocery shopping in the morning. I have bought several veggies that now I need to clean and to store properly.

@phlor01 I bought asparagus, I removed the hard part and wrapped the points in kitchen paper towel and then put in bags. The lettuces, I removed the external leaves that I am going to cook and stored the center in the kitchen drawer. The bell peppers are already cut in stripes ready to cook. They are stored in plastic bags.

How do you store veggies.I noticed that when I put them in plastic it dries up easily, so I wrap them in old newspaper before putting them in the veggies chiller.

I used to go to my friend's house often. He was a good man. My nieces are going to grade school. They are just 6 turning 7.

Well, that's good to know. Though you had some work to do but was able to spent time with your loved ones. I enjoy weekends with family by watching movies, playing with them inside the house. Usually its our family bonding every weekends and I need to treat them whatever they like.
