@Jehagirl My condolences on the loss of your father! How old was he?
I have an idea of what you are going through. My mother passed away also but before my father and was glad that things happened that way as it would have been very hard on my mother.
Your mother will need a lot of support. Do you live with your mom?

Sorry for your loss. I don't think you ever get over loosing someone, you just get used to it and learn to live with it. Perhaps joining a bereavement group might help. You will meet others going through the same thing who understand and probably have the same difficulty and problems coming to terms with it.

Welcome to myLot. Enjoy the site!
The first step for all newbies is to read the Guidelines to learn what is allowed or not on the site. Then you can write a post introducing yourself. Tell us a bit about yourself.
Furthermore, read around as much as you can, Like and Comment on other members' posts. Only then will members come to your site and do the same. This is called interaction.
Don't expect too much money-wise. If you reach $5 a month (the payout limit), you can call yourself lucky.

I'm in the same situation. I believe in the saying that time heals all wounds.

I have lost both my parents now. My Dad most recently in 2018. I don't think you ever completely get over it because your parents have a big piece of your heart. All we can do is live our lives, remember them fondly, recall the good memories you had with them, and continue on. That is what one's you love would want you to do.

My condolences for your loss dear friend. I understand what you are going through, I also lost someone so important and it wasn't easy. It takes time to accept that they are gone but baby steps do add up to big steps.
