@Jehagirl My condolences on the loss of your father! How old was he? I have an idea of what you are going through. My mother passed away also but before my father and was glad that things happened that way as it would have been very hard on my mother. Your mother will need a lot of support. Do you live with your mom?

Sorry for your loss. I don't think you ever get over loosing someone, you just get used to it and learn to live with it. Perhaps joining a bereavement group might help. You will meet others going through the same thing who understand and probably have the same difficulty and problems coming to terms with it.

I guess when things like this happens you need to surround yourself with people that do love and care for you. Those that are left here in this world will be the ones that will help you go through life without him/her.

Remember the happiest moment with the love ones. Try to do fulfill the dreams in his/her absence. Make new friends.

I have lost both my parents now. My Dad most recently in 2018. I don't think you ever completely get over it because your parents have a big piece of your heart. All we can do is live our lives, remember them fondly, recall the good memories you had with them, and continue on. That is what one's you love would want you to do.

My condolences for your loss dear friend. I understand what you are going through, I also lost someone so important and it wasn't easy. It takes time to accept that they are gone but baby steps do add up to big steps.
